OUT OF THE BLUE
Basically this is part of the story of my journey.
Some of the characters I met on the way, the 18 weeks on the Miners Strike, the Handsworth and St. Pauls riots of the 80's, the internal conflicts of representing the State and trying to deal with people how I would have liked to have been treated. The constant internal questions of why am I doing this and the mistakes I made, or some of them, and some of the situations I got myself into.

If you are interested this talk can be repeated.
Just a quick note to let you know about a talk that my friend Paul
House is doing at the Isbourne Holistic Centre on Friday 16th
September at 7pm. As a former policeman and a longtime spiritual
seeker, Paul has unique insights into what it is to be caught in that
place between "the people" and "the state" - a very relevant topic in
these times of increasing social unrest and mass demonstrations.

"Well delivered, personable, humerous, flowing and fascinating. For two hours he kept everyone spellbound". Josh

It was a privilege to hear Paul House talk about some of his many experiences during his 25 years on the Police Force. With an endearing and easy-on-the-ear style, Paul moved back and forth between humorous anecdotes and shocking true tales, which all provided unique insights into the best and the worst of the human condition. The fact that the almost 2 hour long presentation felt like half that length - and left me, for one, wanting more - is testimony to Paul's wonderful storytelling ability. - Richard Higgins

I have known Paul for many years having been in the “Job” and having also worked with him. In recent years I have also come to know that we both share a common belief – Spiritualism. Consequently, when I heard he was going to give a talk called “Out of the Blue” about a Spiritual man’s perspective on life in the Police force I was intrigued and determined to go and listen since we were both not the stereotyped image of what people perceive Police Officers to be. Rose – my wife – was equally keen to listen and so we attended Paul’s talk. We were not disappointed!! This was an entertaining and educating evening full of insight into a Policeman’s “lot” which I could easily identify with. Yes, there was tragedy and yes, there was humour – both tend to go in parallel with Police work as I can easily testify to. Whilst I am a retired Police officer – as Paul is, for the rest of the audience, this talk was an eye-opener for those whose only knowledge of Police work comes from television, books or newspaper. From a Spiritual perspective, Paul showed how his beliefs allowed him deal with what were the grim realities of life on the “frontline” of Policing while at the same time retaining his humanity – again something I can easily identify with - and retain that all important sense of humour. When Paul next gives his talk – “Out of the Blue” - if you have not already heard it, make sure you go. You will not be disappointed – but you will be if you don’t!!! Huw

Feeling blue? In the pink! Green with envy? Hopefully this workshop could answer why. We all have a combination of colours both in our auras and our chakras. In this workshop I will focus on the chakras and try to explain what's going on with the aid of a unique set of charts that give a guide to the characteristics of the colour combinations and their effects. I will also give exercises that should help to alleviate some of the negative aspects of the colour combinations.
